About the Gold Coast
Gold Coast Dining
The Gold Coast has a restaurant on just about every corner and most of them are excellent. They offer many culturally diverse styles of cuisine so it's not hard to find a place to eat which satisfies your individual needs.
The rich and famous mix with the locals and tourists in the selection of seafood, Italian and Australian restaurants situated along the broadwater in the heart of the Gold Coast Marina. Overlooking the Super Yachts and motor cruisers, these restaurants offer best quality food and wine, prepared by internationally trained chefs. Expect the very best when you dine here - it may be more expensive than other restaurants on the Gold Coast but you certainly get what you pay for.
Tedder Avenue, Main Beach
A main place to eat and be seen is Tedder Avenue in Main Beach, where about 30 top restaurants and bars sit side by side on either side of the street. Surfer’s Paradise may have more places to eat, but Tedder Avenue offers a wide variety of choices in a more concentrated area.
Surf Parade, Broadbeach
Cruise out on any Friday night or during the weekend to Surf Parade and you will be amazed at the number of people enjoying the restaurants and coffee shops along Surf Parade. Definitely the place to be seen, it's boardwalk and roadside dining provides many styles of food. Don't be surprised to see visiting film stars grabbing a bite to eat in one of these trendy dining areas.
A cheap meal by the ocean, nearly all the surf clubs (found in almost every oceanside suburb of the Coast) have a bistro where no matter what you choose you’ll find a huge pile of great food sitting on your plate for less than AUD$15.00. At this price, menu options can be limited but you can’t beat the value and you definitely can't beat the view.
